Tumbleweed Journey

As an emerging artist, I’m currently revisiting the joy of drawing and painting abstracts. I find that in today’s current atmosphere it’s healing for me to work with color, line and shape in open ended processes with no expectation of the outcomes. These creative practices ultimately lead me to authentic discoveries and open self expression.

Growing up in a military family meant moving from place to place throughout the United States. Along with ever changing landscapes of home and people, I became practiced in connecting myself through art. As a child, I taught myself how to draw and create art as both a way of recording and making sense of my quickly changing surroundings, and my relationship to community. I moved to Denver over 25 years ago and have continued to connect through painting, storytelling, and writing.
